In order to provide only the highest quality products and services to SeaPort-e customers, Akima has integrated its ISO 9001:2000-registered quality program into the quality assurance (QA) principles and quality control (QC) procedures for all our program and project management processes. QA and QC are integral to our daily operations. We commit the time and resources necessary to ensure project data and resulting deliverables are not only precise, accurate, and complete but also completely satisfy program and project requirements. In order to implement an effective quality assurance program, a contractor must clearly understand any risks inherent in the work and identify methods to eliminate or mitigate those risks. We pay strict attention to the early identification and mitigation phases because they are key to effectively managing any performance risks. Our quality approach incorporates defined repeatable processes, which are essential to achieving high quality and cost efficiency. Our quality program focuses on discovery and correction of problem conditions before they have an adverse effect on performance.
